No Limits by Al Foxx

No limits

Author Al FoxxA true story of Al Foxx, an award-winning comedian and inspirational disability speaker whose motorcycle crash in 1980 left him brain injured and half paralyzed. "No Limits" shows you how to see challenges instead of calamities, opportunities instead of obstacles. With humor and insight, the book details his experiences learning to talk, walk, and drive a car again, even though his doctors said he never would. The book includes practical, inspiring tips for living with No Limits. Al's theme is: "Accepting your disabilities means not only accepting your limitations, but accepting responsibility for making the most of the abilities you still have."

This book is a helpful resource for those who know someone with a disability because of brain damage. It will provide insights into the world of a person with brain damage.

Wow!  When life gets rough, it’s sometimes hard to know what actions to take to change the situation.  No Limits completely gave me a way to think that had me thinking up actions that would really change the situation when life got real hard for me.

"'Al, you'll never walk or drive again,'" said Harborview Hospital's chief neurosurgeon."

"The handwriting on the wall stood out clearly. I would spend the rest of my life in physical, speech, psycho, and occupational therapy "

"Your choices will either make you or break you."

"Life is either a series of challenges or calamities,
it's your choice."
